Salukis, Panthers, and Seahawks, oh my...

So its that time once again... the greatest four sports days of the year have finally come back, and as usual I'm counting down the hours. I've subscribed to the CBS Sportsline March Madness on Demand so I watch games tomorrow from my desk; I've kept my work schedule meeting free so as not to be distracted from following the score tickers, and I already took Friday off in a nod to my Irish heritage (yes, I'm a Jew, but we all pretend on 3/17) and I'll be watching games while drinking my Guinness.

I take great pride in my entries in the office NCAA pool. I won the whole thing 2 years ago, and have correctly picked the champion 4 of the last 5 years. This year however, I'm left with a problem. I know who I think will win, but other than that, I really have very little idea who to pull for. I usually have brackets full of early round upsets, but this year, I don't see a single 12 seed poised to knock off a 5, and even the 6/11 games don't inspire me. How can you win the pool if you pick all the chalk?

Maybe I should listen to the typing heads on cnnsi.com, Winthrop can really make the Sweet 16. GO WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE!

P.S. Its easy to get behind a team that comes from the only U.S. city that has had 3 socialist mayors. Wayne's World was educational!
